If I use the Insert Image->Upload from computer, is it uploading the original, full-resolution picture? Or, is it reducing it for storage in a web album? I'm going to test. I have a picture on my computer of a sunrise in Nassau harbor 20151004_073154.jpg. It is 5312X2988 pixels, and 2.0MB in size. I'm inserting it here using the Upload option. Now when I look at the source file - located in the Picasa Web Album for this blog - I see that the size has in fact been reduced. That is so cool. This means there is no need to resize photos before using them in your blog! Making the upload from computer a very good way to go. Photo information Oct 4, 2015 2048×1152 pixels – 403KB

1. Here is a picture straight from my Google Photos library - not an album - this should be private and I don't expect it to show up for anyone but me.  (but it does) 2. Here is a picture where I went to photos.google.com and picked a photo from a private album. I right-clicked and copied Image URL, then used Blogger's "Insert image from URL" 3. And here is a picture using the URL from a public album 4. Both of these pictures were inserted in this post by selecting the "From your phone" option. The picture as I took it. The picture after crop and HDR with Snapseed 5. This picture is uploaded from computer: all 3 of the above pictures get copied automatically  to a Picasa Web Album called geeksontour plus - blogger 6. This picture is inserted from a "Picasa Web Album" 2015 October. And it does not get copied to the blogger album. 7. This picture is inserted from a private album using the Picasa Web Album option.

I wonder if Blogger will ever change its language in the insert image screen? It still says add from Picasa Web Albums. Yet, new pictures in google photos are there. But, this is new!  The Gogle Photos help screen  says that pictures deleted from Google Photos will not be removed from Blogger?!?!

Just checking what happens when I've created directions for 10 destinations in Google Maps and copy the url, then paste as a link. Here's directions. And here's directions that concatenated two different sets of directions to overcome the 10 destination limit. What I did was to create a second set of directions with the starting point being what should be #11 destination and adding several more. I copied the URL for that just with the names of the city, states and went back to #1 set of directions and edited the url to add stops 11-17 (removing all the lat/lon numbers at the end.
