Another photo test

If I use the Insert Image->Upload from computer, is it uploading the original, full-resolution picture? Or, is it reducing it for storage in a web album?
I'm going to test. I have a picture on my computer of a sunrise in Nassau harbor 20151004_073154.jpg. It is 5312X2988 pixels, and 2.0MB in size.

I'm inserting it here using the Upload option.


Now when I look at the source file - located in the Picasa Web Album for this blog - I see that the size has in fact been reduced. That is so cool. This means there is no need to resize photos before using them in your blog! Making the upload from computer a very good way to go.
